Meet & Eat

Join us for our supportive wellbeing Meet and Eat programme. This six-week course begins with a two-hour taster session and is designed to offer a holistic view of wellbeing that covers the connections between nature, our food, and our health and wellbeing. Participants will be invited to take part in local foraging for ingredients, discover traditional cookery methods with foraged food, enjoy group walks, learn about nutrition and wellbeing, and enjoy forging new connections and friendships.

Who’s this for?

This is aimed at isolated or disadvantaged groups who will benefit from exercise, being in nature, meeting new people, learning new skills, and learning to cook simple, cost-effective and nutritious meals.

Programme structure:

Participants will spend an hour per week across six weeks in the local area or our community kitchen learning or taking part in the following:

  • Kitchen hygiene, familiarisation with utensils, ovens, hobs

  • Group walks through local forests and fields

  • Learning about foraged foods, what is safe to eat and what isn’t
